Community Calendar: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

We encourage everyone to review this FAQ prior to submitting an event! Feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.

How does the Community Calendar work?

Our Community Calendar is a special, free on-air resource for local churches and ministries to spread the word about their events! We receive news of events from all around the Tri-State and announce them on-air and online!

All events submitted are free to attend and open to everyone. On special occasion, we feature paid events (usually concerts) that are of high interest for our listening audience as a bonus for our paid advertisers.

Revolving Community Calendar (NEW)

During times of high event volume we may implement our Revolving Community Calendar Announcements so you may hear 2 or more versions of our typical announcements throughout the day. This new feature helps us cycle through more events per week and get events announced earlier and longer!

What qualifies as a free event?

All events on our Community Calendar must be free to participate in. Donations, offerings, or sales can be accepted beyond the entrance, but must not be required to enter.

Those looking to advertise their paid events must inquire about our special church & ministry paid advertising packages by contacting us online or calling (513)533-2500.

How far in advance should I send in my event details?

Due to the volume of announcement requests we receive and how our updates work, we require 2 weeks prior notice to the start of an event. While we try our best to feature all events, we have very limited spots each update and cannot guarantee the accommodation for all requests.

Additionally, sending in events 3 or more weeks in advance does not guarantee more announcement time. Announcement time heavily depends on the volume of events, which tends to fluctuate from week to week.

Events send in over the weekend or federal holiday will not be viewed until the next business day.

How do I submit an event?

Events can be submitted one of four ways: online, email, postal mail, and fax. Provide the event title, date(s), times, location, and as much detail about the event so we can share accurate information! Remember to attach any flyers or attachments!

Do I need to attach a flyer?

Flyers are optional, but they do help distinguish each event as they are featured beside the event details on our Events page. Additionally, we heavily condense event information to the most important details, so a flyer may help supplement any omitted information.

I sent in my event but I haven't heard it on-air yet...

There could be a few reasons why: our calendar is currently full, our on-air announcements have not been updated yet, and or we have a Revolving Calendar currently active (only hearing one version).

Tip: check our Events page! If your event is listed, we have your event details. When curating our updates, we refer to both our Google Calendar and the Events page (it’s very useful for us too!).

While we appreciate everyone who sends in events, please refrain from calling to inquire about event announcement status. Please do call us if there is an issue with a current announcement or if you do not see your event listed on our Events page after a week.

When/how long will my event be announced?

We do not guarantee that any event will be announced by any date and for any length of time. This service is a free resource that operates on a first-come-first-serve and highest priority basis. While we do our best to get all events announced on-air, we may not be able to accommodate all requests. We take great effort in updating our Google Calendar and Events page frequently with weekly or bi-weekly Facebook Calendar updates to help supplement exposure.

 

When is the on-air calendar updated?

Our Calendar update schedule highly depends on the current featured events. Updates usually occur one or two days before the first listed event ‘expires’, however this is not always the case. We reserve the right to determine if, when, and how long an event is announced for.
